Give To The Max Campaign (2021)

This year the goal for the Give To The Max campaign was to raise $2,500. Thanks to everyone’s generous donations, we were able to raise $2,143!

Stevens Square Community Organization was founded in 1975.

SSCO provides a respectful forum for community involvement and leadership that builds on neighborhood strengths to promote and improve Stevens Square- Loring Heights as a fun place to live, work, and play. SSCO works to strengthen Stevens Square-Loring Heights by initiating, integrating, and implementing key priorities:

• Economic Development

• Neighborhood Development

• Community Safety

• Clean Green Environment 

• Building Community Through The Arts

• Community Involvement

  Your Donations allow us to expand our ability to provide and relevant activities to our neighbors in Stevens Square-Loring Heights such as:

  - Long-standing community-building events:

  - Cinema & Civics

  - The 20 year strong Red Hot Art Festival; Annual Fall & Summer events

  • Rental Discount Program: Encouraging renters in our neighborhood to get involved by providing a discount on rent up to $225 a month for volunteering & attending community meetings. 

  • Official Community Meetings: Facilitate & exchange and decision-making about issues impacting our neighborhood.

    - Free food, translation services, and childcare services at events

  • Community listening sessions: Facilitated by neighbors to gather feedback on programming.

  • Greening programs: Gardens and our Seasonal Farmer’s Market
